Mumbai, April 29, 2013:
Kaspersky Lab recently conducted a meet and greet with cricketing legend and brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar with a select group of invitees, including top performing partners, existing customers, and a few special CIO invitees at Mumbai. The event titled – An Evening with Sachin – was a free-flowing interaction with the master blaster about his life, his inspirations and driving forces, how he motivated others in the team, the importance of having good mentors, and how to create winning strategies in the face of odds.
It was interesting to watch Sachin off-field in a navy blue suit, taking questions from the IT industry captains and other corporate leaders with the same ease as he would face the most-fiercest bowler on-field. Everyone listened to him in rapt attention and respectful silence even as he answered them with his signature candor and obliged them with autographs and photographs after the 40-minute Q & A session.
The objective of the event was to reward the top performing partners of Kaspersky Lab by giving them an audience with Sachin Tendulkar in line with a contest that the company had announced. Following the launch of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business (KESB), Kaspersky Lab had announced an innovative incentive for B2B Partners: Partners booking their first order for 1,000+ KESB licenses (as per terms and conditions) before March 31, 2013 would get a chance to meet Sachin.
Among the partners who qualified were Communication Links, Satcom, Taarak, Tracker Solutions, Racca Infotech and 64 Network.
Maxim Mitrokhin, Director of Operations, Kaspersky Lab – APAC, said, “With the launch of Kaspersky’s new security platform for businesses, we have a stronger story for customers. KESB offers a powerful combination of deep protection, efficiency and seamless manageability to simplify IT security management and ensure advanced protection for business of all sizes.”
“Creating an opportunity for our performing partners to meet Sachin Tendulkar was our way of rewarding them with an incentive that no amount of money can buy,” said Altaf Halde, Managing Director, Kaspersky Lab – South Asia. He further added that with the launch of KESB, many new partners have taken the opportunity to acquire new customers.
KESB, the company’s new flagship security platform for businesses, is built to provide the industry’s best protection from advanced malware and cybercrime, and also to combat another common enemy of IT security – complexity. KESB is a single, unified platform, created by Kaspersky Lab’s engineers from a single code base. Through ONE platform, ONE console, and at ONE cost, IT administrators can see, control and protect all systems and endpoints within the organization’s IT infrastructure, whether it’s a PC down the hall, a virtual machine in another office, or a missing smartphone across the country.
